About EcoVision Sustainability Foundation

Community-rooted. Climate-focused. People-powered.

Our Story

Born from a Belief That Communities Can Lead Change

EcoVision Sustainability Foundation (ESF) was established in Ghana in 2025 as a Limited by Guarantee (LBG) non-profit organisation. ESF was founded on the conviction that meaningful environmental change happens at the community level — when people are informed, empowered, and given the tools to act.

ESF is the community-action arm of the EcoVision family. While our sister organisation, EcoVision Sustainability Institute (ESI), focuses on rigorous research and policy advisory, ESF brings that knowledge to the ground — translating science into action through education, advocacy, and grassroots empowerment programmes.

Headquartered in Nyanyano, Central Region, Ghana, ESF is positioned to serve communities across Ghana and sub-Saharan Africa, with ambitions for broader continental and global engagement.

Purpose

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To advance climate awareness, environmental education, youth empowerment, and sustainable community development by building local capacity and fostering grassroots action for a healthier planet.

Our Vision

A world where every community — regardless of location or income — has the knowledge, agency, and resources to thrive sustainably within planetary boundaries and in harmony with the natural environment.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

01

Community First

Every programme we design starts and ends with the needs, voices, and well-being of the communities we serve.

02

Environmental Integrity

We are guided by a deep commitment to protecting ecosystems, biodiversity, and the natural systems that all life depends on.

03

Youth Leadership

We believe young people are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the change-makers of today — and we invest in them accordingly.

04

Inclusion & Equity

Sustainable development must reach everyone. We prioritise marginalised and underserved groups in all our work.

05

Evidence-Informed Action

Our programmes draw on the best available science and research — including from our sister organisation ESI — to ensure maximum impact.

06

Collaboration

No organisation can solve the climate crisis alone. We actively seek partnerships with communities, NGOs, governments, and the private sector.
