in 2025 as an independent research and advisory institution dedicated to advancing sustainable
development through rigorous economic analysis, evidence-based policy, and technical expertise.
Though headquartered in Ghana, ESI operates without geographic borders. Our research spans
Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and global panels of over 180 countries.
